Agglomerated Instant Coffee Manufacturer and Supplier India

Starlon Naturals is a B2B agglomerated instant coffee manufacturer and exporter based in Begusarai, India. We produce agglomerated instant coffee in Arabica, Robusta, and Arabica-Robusta blend formulations for RTD beverage producers, retail private label brands, vending operators, and foodservice distributors across international markets. Agglomerated coffee offers superior cold water solubility, lower dust generation, and greater visual appeal compared to standard spray dried formats. All products are manufactured under ISO 22000:2018, HACCP, GMP, Halal, and Kosher certified conditions.

What Is Agglomerated Instant Coffee? How It Is Made

Agglomerated instant coffee is produced in two stages. First, roasted coffee is brewed into an extract and spray dried into a fine powder. Second, the powder is re-wetted with steam in an agglomeration process, where particles bind together to form larger, porous granules. The granules are then dried to achieve the desired moisture content and stable structure.

The result is a product with a larger, visually appealing granule, reduced fine content, lower hygroscopicity than the base powder, and improved solubility in both hot and cold water. Agglomerated coffee is the preferred format for consumer retail jars (where visual appeal matters), RTD cold-brew applications (where cold water solubility is critical), and automation filling lines (where reduced dusting improves machine reliability).

Agglomerated vs Spray Dried vs Freeze Dried: Format Comparison

  • coffee bean

    Spray Dried Instant Coffee

A fine powder produced by drying coffee extract in a heated chamber. It is the most economical format with good solubility, commonly used in premix, vending, and large-scale foodservice applications.

  • coffee bean

    Agglomerated Instant Coffee

Produced by converting spray dried powder into larger, porous granules through a re-wetting and re-drying process. It offers improved solubility, reduced dusting, and better visual appeal, making it suitable for retail and consumer jar formats.

  • coffee bean

    Freeze Dried Instant Coffee

AMade by freezing coffee extract and removing moisture under vacuum. It retains the highest aroma and flavour quality, offering a premium cup experience, and is typically used in high-end retail products.

Applications

RTD and Cold Beverages

RTD and cold beverage manufacturing: agglomerated coffee offers improved cold water solubility compared to spray dried formats, making it suitable for cold-brew RTD coffee, iced coffee sachets, and cold beverage premix applications.

Premium Retail Packaging

Premium Retail Instant Coffee Jars and Pouches: the larger, irregular granule provides a premium visual appearance in transparent consumer retail packaging compared to fine spray dried powder. Better suited for private label brands competing in the premium instant coffee segment.

Vending and Automation

Vending Machine Applications: reduced fines and dust improves machine reliability in automatic vending equipment, reduces cleaning frequency, and ensures consistent dosing in single-serve formats.

Bakery and Confectionery

Bakery, Confectionery, and Flavouring: used as a coffee flavouring agent in baked goods, coffee-flavoured chocolates, ice cream, and dessert coatings. Larger granule size improves handling and reduces dust in confectionery manufacturing lines.

Private Label

Private Label and OEM Coffee Brands: full private label service available including custom roast profile, Arabica-Robusta blend ratio, granule size specification, and branded packaging in 25 kg bulk, 1 kg foil pouch, and custom consumer formats.
